Benedict Arnold letter, 1776 July 26, to Richard Varrick.

Letter written from Ticonderoga, New York, by General Arnold to Captain Varrick in Albany, New York, informing him of his need for and efforts to procure seamen from Connecticut. Also includes a photocopy of a letter from Arnold to Thomas Mumford, 8 June 1777, introducing Samuel Griffin who sought a position on a privateer. Location of the original letter is unknown.
